Victory Over Vampires Takes Francis Lewis to 43-21
Francis Lewis Patriots starter Sam Berg pitched a strong game against the Santa Clara Vampires at Ottawa HS Grounds, leading the Patriots to a 3-2 win. Berg got the win, improving to 11-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Berg allowed 2 earned runs. Tommy Burhoe was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 21 save opportunities.

The Patriots beat the Vampires with some clutch hitting. The home run by Tsuyohi Satoya in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Satoya gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Francis Lewis manager Justin Easton. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Francis Lewis has an impressive 43-21 record.
