Sukarno Guns Down San Marin
|
Teguh Sukarno of the Jefferson Indians shut out the San Marin Mustangs 7-0 at Silvertips Ballpark today, holding them to 2 hits with no walks and 14 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, San Marin skipper Marcus Piscitelli called the outing from Sukarno "a jewel."
"The way Sukarno was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
Checking out his stats for the season, Sukarno has racked up 9 wins and 3 losses in 14 starts, 3.51 ERA and struck out 124 batters in 105 innings.
