Francis Lewis and George Washington duked it out at Osprey Ballpark and the Patriots came out victorious.

Behind a solid performance from shortstop Ross Centner, the Francis Lewis Patriots defeated the George Washington Patriots, 7-4. Centner went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Patriots. Tommy Burhoe converted his 14th save in 17 tries.

Francis Lewis needed the clutch hitting of Tim Croix to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Patriots on top, 3-0. For the game, Croix had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Francis Lewis Chronicle, Croix said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The Patriots have an impressive 38-19 record.
