Benefiting from Brian Rini's productive game, the Pitman High Panthers downed the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 9-5. Rini hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Panthers. Travis Cloud got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. The Panthers bumped their record to 30-26 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Pitman High, had it not been for Adam Verbrugge, the 18-year old third baseman . Verbrugge contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Pitman High up, 4-2.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Verbrugge said. "We did a good job of that today."
