Cardinals Drop Lions with Late Score
|
Montreal beat Lerna on the strength of starter Antonio Pichardo's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. The Cardinals own a robust 38-17 mark.
The Cardinals got a big at-bat from first baseman Greg Clinton. For the game, Clinton went 1-1 with a double. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Montreal a 4-3 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Clinton told the Montreal Today.
