Mohr, Blues Clobber Jaguars

Central Tech center fielder Tim Mohr had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 11-2 win over the Jacksonville State Jaguars. Steve Steenburg got the win, improving to 4-3. He held the Jaguars to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 14 and walking 1. The Blues bumped their record to 27-25 with this latest triumph.
When the Blues needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Mohr who delivered. Facing Jacksonville State pitcher Chuck Schmidt the top of the fourth with runners on 1st and 2nd, Mohr hit his 8th home run of the year. It made the score 3-0.
Jacksonville State manager Jeromy Hager called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
