Warhawks Fall Short, 2-1, at San Marin
The San Marin Mustangs eked out a 2-1 win versus the Seminole Warhawks at Silvertips Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Ron Mabie, who captured player of the game honors. In 8 innings, Mabie surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Iestyn Milward recorded the save for San Marin, his 10th of the season.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from center fielder Jared LaRocque. For the game, LaRocque went 1 for 2 with a walk. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave San Marin a 2-1 lead.

"Runs were at a premium," said San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli.
