Beavers Get One-Run Win at Dallas
The inspired effort of Dallas third baseman Tzu-yu Xuan was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Portland Beavers. Xuan went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Felipe De La Hoya got the win, improving to 7-9. He worked 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The Beavers, at 40-46, sit in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

The Beavers got a big at-bat from left fielder Ellis Stockdale. For the game, Stockdale went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave Portland a 4-1 lead.
