The Central Tech Blues racked up a win at Oranges Ballpark, bumping off the San Marin Mustangs, 4-3. Jason Adams, who started for Central Tech, pitched effectively for his team. Adams, now 5-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. The Blues bumped their record to 26-24 with this latest triumph.
Ben Morton drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Central Tech. The 18-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off John King. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Morton.
