The Topeka West Chargers went down to defeat to Joe Crouch and his Montreal teammates. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Cardinals. Crouch went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-3. The save went to Caspar Tamburrino, his 1st this season.
Takuzo Yamamoto, who is tied for 3rd in the PRL in bases on balls with 38, aided the Montreal cause with a solo home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a home run.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Crouch. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Montreal has an impressive 33-16 record.
