Visigoths Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Tioga Central Tigers and the Downsview Mustangs.

The Tioga Central Tigers topped the Downsview Mustangs, 8-7, with first baseman Wade Newman playing a big role. Newman was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Tigers in the win. Harry Dougherty closed it out for his 3rd save.

Newman had a key at-bat for Tioga Central early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Tioga Central an early 3-0 lead.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Tigers manager Gabriel McKinnes. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The Tigers have an impressive 33-15 record.
