College withstood an impressive performance by Jefferson shortstop Aaron Hoffmann to defeat the Indians, 6-3, at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. Hoffmann went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Clint Vollmer earned save number 10. College is now 21-27, while Jefferson is 29-19.
Jake Charbonnier, who is tied for 4th in the HAL in home runs with 12, chipped in for College with a 3-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
