It was a fun time at Ballpark of Morelia HS, where the Central Tech Blues and Grand Island Islanders tangled.
The Central Tech Blues went down to defeat to Justin Sullins and his Grand Island teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Islanders. The Islanders have an impressive 29-18 record.
Ebbe Schmitz, who is tied for 2nd in the HAL in doubles with 17, aided the Grand Island cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs.
"It was a solid team effort," said Schmitz after the game.
