Park Win at Derby, 6-4
|
The College Park topped the Derby Panthers, 6-4, with center fielder Tom Schanowski playing a big role. Schanowski was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Park in the win. Josh Donovan got the win, improving to 5-4. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. With the win, College goes to 20-26, while the Panthers fall to 24-22.
Jonathan Swanson hit a 2-run double off Jason Hazzard in the top of the first, which put the Park in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Swanson had 1 single and 2 walks, while going 2 for 3.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Swanson said.
