Patriots, Plumb Pin Bad Loss on Blues
|
Behind the bravura of left fielder Mike Plumb, the Francis Lewis Patriots topped the Central Tech Blues by the score of 13-1. Plumb went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Patriots. Sam Berg was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 1 run on 3 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Patriots bumped their record to 28-17 with this latest triumph.
Tsuyohi Satoya aided the Francis Lewis cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher went 2-5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Satoya.
