Feightner's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games

Jim Feightner's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-5 in a 7-2 Chippewa River Chiefs triumph over the Stroudsburg Shade at Tim Raines Stadium. The 21-year-old second baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the River Chiefs. Jim Feightner grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Feightner is hitting .326 this year with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 215 at-bats, 33 walks and a .427 on-base percentage. Feightner has played in 71 games.
