BOL Choice for Batter of the Month is Runk Wednesday, September 1st, 2032 Jacob Runk is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the New Orleans left fielder joined that select company when the Lyman Bostock League announced the results of August's voting. Runk totaled 30 hits, 14 walks, 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and 22 runs scored last month to put together a .306 batting average and .391 on-base percentage. This season Runk has delivered 57 hits in 186 at-bats for a .306 average with 17 home runs. He is getting on base at a .377 clip and his totals also include 50 RBIs and 37 runs scored. This year Runk has played in 47 games. |
