Bedford Brings Home AHL Batter of Month Honor Wednesday, September 1st, 2032 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 Ty Bedford has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Tree City Black Squirrels star can enjoy the numbers he put up in August, which have garnered him the nod as the Donnie Moore League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .352 average with 3 home runs, 25 RBIs and 24 runs scored. For the season Bedford is currently batting .352 with 19 home runs and 103 RBIs. In 131 games he has reached base at a .521 rate and scored 107 runs to date. |
