Sutton Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, August 29th, 2032 The number just keeps getting higher. New Orleans third baseman Jesse Sutton has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the New Orleans took the 8-1 win over the Eugene Emeralds at The Republic. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Eugene manager Tom Becker said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Jesse Sutton grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year Sutton is batting .301 with 12 home runs. |
