Donnie Moore League Names Alomar Best Batter Monday, August 2nd, 2032 20-year-old José Alomar made a few Westside headlines during this past week as the rookie designated hitter proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Donnie Moore League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .480 average. Alomar collected 1 home run, 1 RBIs and scored 7 runs. For the season, Alomar is hitting at a .288 clip with 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and has scored 53 runs. He has 102 hits, 33 walks and a .359 on-base percentage. |
