Year Over for Saints Tani Friday, July 9th, 2032 Satoshi Tani of the Saints just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old St. Paul starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Chippewa River Chiefs recently at Saints Ballpark. Tani suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Saints medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12 months. This year in 8 starts, Tani has recorded 1 win and absorbed 3 losses. He has pitched 27.1 innings, allowed 34 hits, struck out 19 and has a 5.93 ERA. |
