Vikings Lose Meléndez for Season Friday, July 9th, 2032 Pancho Meléndez has to call it a season. The Victoria Vikings starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the San Angelo Mustangs and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Meléndez was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a bone spur in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months. To this point in the season, Meléndez shows a 6-5 record, 18 starts, 81 innings, 81 strikeouts and a 5.22 ERA. |
