Chavez, Wise Receive 5-Game Suspensions
Wednesday, July 7th, 2032
The fans at Tim Raines Stadium saw it all yesterday in the Shade-Bums game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Stroudsburg's David Chavez and Palm Beach's Ryan Wise were ejected from the game.

Today the two players were suspended 5 games by the league commissioner.

In 65 games this year Chavez has posted a .256 average and put up these numbers: 2 home runs, 21 RBIs and 25 runs scored.

Wise has worked 6 innings in 8 relief appearances thus far this season and picked up 4 saves. He has dished out 9 strikeouts and walked 6 with a 0-0 mark and a 3.00 ERA.
