Hornets Félix López to Miss Year
Friday, July 2nd, 2032
The doctors have spoken and Félix López of the Bethesda Hornets didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. López sustained his season-ending injury during the Bel Air Princes game yesterday at Philip Banks Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Bethesda medical staff reported López had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months.
This year López has compiled a 3-1 record with a 4.09 ERA.
