Eugene Loses Ángel Velázquez for Season Friday, June 18th, 2032 The Eugene Emeralds will have to make do without Ángel Velázquez for 5-6 months. He suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Stroudsburg Shade. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." On the season Velázquez has a 3-6 record with a 3.93 ERA. |
