Velez Wins BOL Player of the Week Trophy Monday, June 7th, 2032 It was announced today by the Lyman Bostock League that Winfield shortstop Alex Velez had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .524 batting average, 11 hits and 1 home run. Velez also racked up 10 RBIs and scored 8 runs. For the year Velez is hitting .297 with 6 home runs.
