Yonemura Garners AHL #1 Pitcher Award Tuesday, June 1st, 2032 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Yasukatsu Yonemura put together a very solid month to take home the Donnie Moore League's top pitching honor in May. The 22-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 9 relief appearances he raked in no saves and 25 strikeouts in 27.1 innings as he put together his 4-0 record and 1.98 ERA. For the season Yonemura has no saves, tossed 39 innings, fanned 33 batters and produced an ERA of 3.92. He has also been credited with 6 wins and no losses. |
