Horswill Selected AHL's Premier Player
Thursday, November 6th, 2031
At the age of 21, Ernie Horswill of the Brisbane Bush Wackers could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2031 was good enough to win the catcher the Donnie Moore League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .305 batting average this year, as well as a .399 on-base percentage. He played 114 games and racked up 127 hits, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs, 66 RBIs and 76 runs scored.
Junji Terada of the Brisbane Bush Wackers finished second in voting, while Vincente Cerni of the St. Petersburg Pelicans finished third.
