AHL Honors September's #1 Pitcher Wednesday, October 1st, 2031 There's something about a young rookie winning the Donnie Moore League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with David Guzman, a 20-year-old starter for the St. Petersburg Pelicans. In September, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.24 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 29 innings, fanned 41 and held opposing teams to a .140 average. This year Guzman has a 11-3 record and a 2.28 ERA. |
