Pelicans Sanders Named AHL's #1 Player Monday, September 29th, 2031 Doug Sanders made quite a splash in the Donnie Moore League this past week. The St. Petersburg Pelicans left fielder drilled opposing pitchers for 9 hits in 18 at-bats to roll up a .500 batting average and the Donnie Moore League Player of the Week Award. He also contributed 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored to his club's offensive attack. Looking at his season stats, Sanders has compiled a .290 batting average and a .363 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 48 runs. |
