Bassett Raps San Angelo for 5 Hits Thursday, September 18th, 2031 Jeremy Bassett put on a hitting clinic today at Tim Raines Stadium, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing San Angelo pitchers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Stroudsburg Shade, who still fell, 7-5. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Bassett told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Jeremy Bassett hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date this year Bassett is batting .296 with 6 home runs.
