Tanaka of Victoria Crowned Best Player Monday, September 8th, 2031 19-year-old Kichisaburo Tanaka made a few Victoria headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Lyman Bostock League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .435 average. Tanaka collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 6 runs. This season Tanaka has 12 home runs and a .340 batting average. |
