Pitcher of the Month Named in AHL Monday, September 1st, 2031 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Bernard Coste, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Brisbane Bush Wackers closer, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .204 average and walked away with the Donnie Moore League Pitcher of the Month award for August. Coste posted a 1-0 mark and a 2.51 ERA in 14 relief appearances. In 14.1 innings, he had 11 saves, 20 strikeouts, and 4 walks. This year in 54 relief appearances, Coste has collected 33 saves while posting an ERA of 3.93 and 69 strikeouts in 50.1 innings. His totals for the year also include 4 wins and 7 losses. |
