Road Warriors Tharpe and Emeralds Garza Suspended for Fight Wednesday, August 20th, 2031 John Tharpe of Westside and José Garza of Eugene were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. They will both miss 4 games because of their fight. League officials announced their suspensions today. Tharpe has collected 42 hits for the Road Warriors this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 19 RBIs and scored 23 runs while batting .256. So far this year Garza has made 22 starts, tossed 116.1 innings, struck out 133 batters and walked 54. His record is 4-7 with a 4.10 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .247 batting average. |
