Jerry Rios Sidelined for Season
Saturday, August 2nd, 2031
When Jerry Rios was hurt against the Winfield Warriors, the Charleston Panthers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe that first thought. The 19-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Rios would miss 13 months of the season.

This season to date Rios has a record of 2 wins and 9 losses with a 6.61 ERA, has appeared in 22 games and struck out 106 in 94 innings.
