Reliever Claims AHL Pitching Award Friday, August 1st, 2031 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Brian Reddin, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The St. Petersburg Pelicans reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .208 average and walked away with the Donnie Moore League Pitcher of the Month award for July. Reddin posted a 3-0 mark and a 0.67 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 13.1 innings, he had 6 saves, 18 strikeouts, and 2 walks. On the year Reddin has 7 saves in 35 relief appearances with a 5-1 record and 2.15 ERA. |
