Kingwood's Schmidt to Miss Season Saturday, July 19th, 2031 The season is ending on a bad note for Mike Schmidt, left fielder for the Kingwood Knights. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Schmidt was hurt against the St. Paul Saints while running the bases. He suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament and will be out for at least 9-10 months. This season in 91 games, Schmidt has hit at a .254 clip with 82 hits, 15 home runs, 38 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
