Big Day with Bat: Connors 5-for-5 Thursday, July 10th, 2031 St. Petersburg right fielder Augustin Connors had a big day at Tim Raines Stadium today against the Stroudsburg Shade. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Pelicans to a 12-0 triumph over Stroudsburg. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Connors said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Augustin Connors hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
