He easily handled Blue Claws pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Hornets to a 6-2 triumph at Old Bay Park. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Buckland's quip, Blue Claws skipper José Rivera said he "would take him up on that next time." Connor Buckland singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
