River Chiefs Eddie Zuniga Down and Out for Year
Friday, June 13th, 2031
Chippewa reliever Eddie Zuniga could miss the remainder of the season because of a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's St. Paul game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Zuniga would be out 11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
This season he has made 9 relief appearances with no saves. In 11 innings Zuniga has chalked up 14 strikeouts while posting a 1-2 record and a 9.82 ERA
