Buzzard's Bay Reliever Out Friday, September 17th, 2032 The doctors have spoken and António Fabián of the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Fabián sustained his season-ending injury during the Silicon Valley Hackers game yesterday at San Jose Municipal Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Buzzard's Bay medical staff reported Fabián had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months. Fabián's record so far this season is 2-and-0 with no saves and a 5.23 ERA. He has given up 44 hits in 43 innings with 23 strikeouts. |
