Dill Goes 5-for-6 Against Topeka Tuesday, September 7th, 2032 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Douglas Dill today -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at The Coliseum, but the performance lost a little luster when the Spartans were downed 10-7 by the Topeka Predators. After his glittering performance, the Sandy Springs first baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book today, too," Dill said. Douglas Dill singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Batting .299 to date, Dill has 19 home runs and 66 RBIs.
