Long Island Loses Hernández for Year
Sunday, September 5th, 2032
The season is ending on a bad note for Miguel Hernández, closer for the Long Island Ducks. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Hernández was hurt against the San Antonio Storm Troopers while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn rotator cuff and will be out for at least 5 months.
This year his stats show Hernández has 19 saves in 51 relief appearances with a 8-5 mark and 2.91 ERA. He has struck out 77 batters and issued 42 walks in 46.1 innings. Opposing clubs have a .152 against him.
