Atlantic City's Melsome Sidelined for Season
Tuesday, August 17th, 2032
The doctors have spoken and Benjamin Melsome of the Atlantic City Enforcers didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Melsome sustained his season-ending injury during the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats game yesterday at Parliament Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Atlantic City medical staff reported Melsome had a torn posterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months.
Thus far in 2032 Melsome is hitting .237 with 7 home runs, 35 RBIs, 59 runs scored and has compiled a .340 OBP.
