Tune-Ups Ohayashi Named ACL's Best Pitcher Sunday, August 1st, 2032 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Koshiro Ohayashi, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Youngstown Tune-Ups closer, 25, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .244 average and walked away with the Cory Lidle League Pitcher of the Month award for July. Ohayashi posted a 3-1 mark and a 2.84 ERA in 14 relief appearances. In 12.2 innings, he had 10 saves, 14 strikeouts, and 8 walks. This season Ohayashi has 34 saves. In 53 relief appearances he has hurled 58 innings, struck out 48 and given up 20 walks with a 4-3 record. The Youngstown reliever has recorded a 1.86 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .224 when he is on the hill. |
