Tanaka Pounds 3 HR Thursday, July 29th, 2032 Kichisaburo Tanaka brutalized the Atlantic City Enforcers pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 10-6 victory at Parliament Field. The Carson City Mustang right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Kichisaburo Tanaka today," Enforcers manager Juan Guerrero said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Kichisaburo Tanaka grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Vincente Herrera in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Vincente Herrera in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off David Tredgett in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This season Tanaka is swinging the bat at a .308 rate with 124 hits in 402 at-bats. To date he has hit 26 home runs, scored 77 runs and driven in 89. |
