Season Possibly Over for John Thompson
Friday, July 23rd, 2032
The doctors have spoken and John Thompson of the Frisco Rams didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old right fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Thompson sustained his season-ending injury during the Rock River Rats game yesterday at The Rat Hole. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Frisco medical staff reported Thompson had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

For the season, Thompson is hitting at a .280 clip with no home runs, 3 RBIs and has scored 6 runs. He has 14 hits, 5 walks and a .345 on-base percentage.
