Youngstown Starter Named ACL's Top Pitcher Thursday, July 1st, 2032 There's something about a young rookie winning the Cory Lidle League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Dominic Smith, a 27-year-old starter for the Youngstown Tune-Ups. In June, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 1.10 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 32.2 innings, fanned 26 and held opposing teams to a .198 average. Checking out his stats for the season, Smith has racked up 8 wins and 2 losses in 17 starts, 2.97 ERA and struck out 80 batters in 106 innings. |
