Great Day for Mai -- 5 Hits
Friday, May 14th, 2032
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Dinh-Hy Mai of the DeKalb Cornhuskers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 10-7 win over the Spokane Bulldogs at The Kennel.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Dinh-Hy Mai hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Mai is hitting at a .325 mark this season. His stats show 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has played 34 games for the Cornhuskers.
