Marysville's Nishikawa Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits

5 times is the charm -- at least for Tadao Nishikawa.
The Marysville Monarchs shortstop tore up the Newark Jail Birds to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Mitts Fieldhouse today. The offensive onslaught from Nishikawa powered the Monarchs to a 8-3 win.
"Nishikawa was a tough out today," Newark manager Johan Gillberry said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Tadao Nishikawa hit a solo-shot off Fabio de Kroon in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Fabio de Kroon in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th.
In 37 games this season Nishikawa has batted at a .294 pace with 45 hits and 6 home runs.
